Life and Health Insurance Intern

The role

The intern works under the supervision of a financial security advisor acting as placement supervisor. In practice: gather the client’s information, run the needs analysis, calculate and compare premiums, present the options and give the advice.

On top of that comes following up on client requests for life and health products, by phone and by email.

The internship regularly leads to a financial security advisor position.

Responsibilities

  • Advise clients and sell life and health products (health, travel, life), by phone and online
  • Complete insurance applications and the documents attached to client files
  • Follow up with existing clients and suggest new products
  • Contact clients about policy renewals
  • Answer inbound calls, emails and online requests

What we look for

  • Comfortable with everyday software and communication tools

Requirements

  • College diploma, or relevant training and experience
  • Hold an AMF certificate in life and health insurance or accident and sickness insurance, or be in the process of obtaining one
  • Bilingual in French and English

Full time, paid internship, at our Montreal office (LaSalle borough). Free parking, unlimited coffee and pizza Fridays.
